Tomato Leaf Connects: First Successful Production Run of Tomato Leaves Sheet Material

At the end of 2023, we started an ambitious process with a consortium: creating a complete value chain to process greenhouse flows from the Province of South Holland into sustainable sheet material based on tomato leaves.

Since the start, important steps have been taken within the chain. For example, the raw material has been further optimized and successful tests have been carried out to produce high-quality sheet material. The missing link — reducing the raw material for the first production run — was filled by Waardewenders. Thanks to their contribution, we were able to run the first complete production. The result is impressive: a complete pallet of plates made from tomato leaves.
