Roof decking made of SAM Solid at housing corporation De Woonplaats

The SAM Solid 5 panels were installed in the roof structure of a housing unit owned by Woning corporatie de Woonplaats. This project marks the first time our panels have been used in this application, and the feedback from the contractor has been highly positive! We look forward to supplying our panels for the remaining 24 homes in the project.

Biobased Insulation and a Kitchen Made from Pine Wood, Reed Sugar, and Sunflower Seeds?

It may sound like something from the future, but in Aalten, we have already put it to the test. One of our rental homes has been biobased insulated, and a biobased kitchen has been installed. Together with elk® group and Witzand Bouwmaterialen, we explored the best solutions for working with natural resources. As a first, we installed the first biobased kitchen from Bruynzeel Keukens. The materials used require virtually no fossil resources, making them much more sustainable. This home is the first in a series of 24 homes that we plan to upgrade using this biobased approach.

As part of the Together Biobased Building initiative, we are sharing knowledge and gaining experience for the future. The next step will involve using straw from the Achterhoek as a material for biobased insulation.
