A first in the Interior and Construction Sector: BAS Panels & SAM Panels used in combination for the first time!
A first in the Interior Industry:
Last year, SAM's sheet material was already present in the LC Coreopsis '23 Bench. Within the Loads Collection, the LC Ottoman Walnut-Chamomile 24 was recently presented in Milan.
In this piece of furniture, both the SAM Pure applied as the I-beam by BAS Panels. This is the first for the use of the I-beam in furniture and has immediately led to success. At the Salone del Mobile, Simone van Es's Roots Exhibition exhibition has Masterly Award 2025 won. A fantastic recognition for this exhibition where BASS & SAM Panels are part of.

A first in the Construction Industry:
Last month, a special construction moment was realized in Borger (Drenthe): the first BSB facades have been posted — and how! Lightweight, biobased and extremely quickly assembled with just two men and without a crane. A real first, because for the first time BAS Panels one SAM Panels deployed together in a project. The combination of these two smart building solutions marks a new chapter in sustainable construction.
The result is impressive: a high-quality façade made entirely in the Netherlands — installed tightly, quickly and sustainably. Within hours, there was a solid and stylish façade, ready to be finished with impressive 3D cladding. And this is just the beginning...
Biobased construction is becoming a reality — and fast.
Our prefab BSB (Biobased Skeleton Building) elements are fully biobased, circular, and suitable for various applications such as new construction, renovation, topping and even 3D modular construction. Thanks to innovative insulation solutions such as BioBlow, made from wheat straw fibres, we are creating a building system that not only saves CO₂, but also stores it.
Whether it's an extension, topping or a completely new project: our panels are so lightweight that they can easily be installed with a ladder lift. Filled with straw, hemp or other natural insulation materials, they offer flexibility, comfort and a healthy indoor climate.

Progress in Rijen: from BAS to Passive
Also in Rows we see great steps: with the application of BAS Panels filled with EXIE Canada and an upgrade to Exie Passive Panels, we are helping to build a highly energy-efficient future. The BAS I beams provide extra structural strength there without sacrificing durability.
Sustainable construction starts with the basics — or rather: the wall.
At BAS, we don't just help build. We are thinking ahead.
Together, we make biobased construction feasible and scalable for every project.
